This program was actually designed for personal use. It was meant for me to keep track of the titles, contents and whereabouts of the 500-odd CDs I have. I decided to post this small application on my website for anyone out there looking for something like this. This application allows the user to add, edit, delete CD entries into or from the database. Besides allowing the user to manage their CDs, it also allows the user to manage the contents of their CDs. I have also added other useful utilities such as the FindCD and the FilterCD Display functions that I think might come in handy to anyone who has many many CDs to manage. Because this is a Freeware, please bear with the fact that there is no attached Help File. If you have any problems with the usage of this application or any other queries, please do not hesitate to email me. Meanwhile, when I have the time, I will work on an upgraded version of this application which will include a FindSong utility which, I think, will prove to be very useful.
Once that is all done with, Phase 2 of this project will be about letting the whole wide world view your CD database collection over the web by writing a Browser-based application that will read from your ready-prepared CD database which you will post on my website. For example: You might be able to show-off your entire CD Management Database to the whole wide world through this link on my website www.softwaremaker.net/CDMD/YourName/CDMD.asp. Once again, this will only happen if my time permits. So please, keep 'em fingers crossed and send me the encouragements. This freeware is Unsupported. |
